Think Before You Send

Me: Watching one of my favorite channels, Jordan Taylor

Me: "That's terrible that people would say that! It was true, but just kind of mean!" 

The next day...

Me: Wow! This person either really doesn't know that cotton candy is not clouds that fell from the sky, or they are just really foolish.

Me sending a comment: "Cotton candy is made from sugar, not clouds. Everyone knows that!"

TG walks in

TG: Reads over my shoulder

TG: "Hey, don't you think that kind of sounded mean?"

Me: Thinks about it

Me: "No. He wouldn't be offended by this. I'm not even being mean."

TG: "Read that to me as if I were that guy on the video, and I just told you what I think about cotton candy."

Me: "Okay."

Me: Reads the comment and pauses at the "everyone knows that" part.

TG: "Would you say this to him in person?"

Me: "I guess not...

TG: "Yeah, you should think before you send someone something like that."

TG: Gets up and walks away

       Hey guys! For the many of you who don't know, I love reading. I pride myself on having read Tristan Strong Punches A Hole In the Sky in less than two days and one of my favorite books is Out of My Heart (the sequel to Out of My Mind) by Sharon M. Draper. Reading is one of my number one hobbies, which is why I'm going to share with you a list of books I got from the library that I recently read. 1. I Am Still Alive by Kate Alice Marshall       This was like the girl version of Hatchet. If you've read it, you know what I mean. Overall, I liked this book, but it was disappointing in the end. I won't spoil it for anyone who wants to read it. All I'll say is that the protagonist, Jess, had a goal in mind, but made an ultimately stupid choice for a kid stranded on an island. 2.
