A thought I had last night

       Hey, just wanted to share a thought. 

     We are supposed to treat our elders with respect, right? But why? For me, this is the answer: We should treat our elders with respect because they have gone through things, and whether they purposed it or not, some of the stuff they went through was so that the younger people will never have to.

     Even the most insane, most old person could tell a younger person about an experience, maybe because of a mistake they made. In that way, they would be passing on knowledge. The younger person would now know not to make the same mistake.

     So as I was thinking about this, I thought, that relates to JESUS. HE died for us so that we would not have to go through the pain and suffering that we should. All we have to do is believe in HIM, that HE died on the cross for our sins. And when we don't believe, then we have to bear the punishment after JESUS already took the punishment for us, just like a young person might have to suffer because they ignored an older person's advice.
