A Snippet - Colossians 3:23

Hey guys! I haven't been posting for a while. But now that summer is starting I hope to post at least every other week. I will give you an update on scheduling soon.
Anyway, you might be wondering what's up with the title. A snippet?
Yes! I will post a snippet of a story with no context once a month on the first Monday. So here is the first story snippet and please look out for the rest!

First Snippet

Almost every time, my friends were there waiting for me. On days where it was pretty calm, Mama watched Wyatt and Rico. If it was a busy day, I had to babysit. My friends were pretty cool about it, though. They helped me a lot. By the time their parents came to pick them up my younger siblings were worn out and calm. Sometimes they even fell asleep in the yard.
We go home, all of the Cortneys together. Usually Mama started dinner before we left the house, so when we returned home she would finish cooking. Us kids were to finish any homework and then set the table, take showers for the next day, and pick up toys. Anything that needed to be done. I often complained about having to put away Paulina, Wyatt, and Rico's things, but Paula always reminded me to do everything without grumbling or arguing. She'd say, "Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord." (Colossians 3:23)

Thanks For Reading And Hanging Out!!!
