Philippians 4:13 and 2 Timothy 1:7 | Fear and doing what is worth your time and your life

GOD has not given us a spirit of fear and I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me work can go hand in hand. When I said those two verses together the meaning was clearer.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me.

So does that mean that we can do anything we want? Some people say you can do anything you put your mind to. Is that true? Then the question becomes: What should I put my mind to? Because if we can do anything we put our minds to then we also have to wonder, if what we want to do is worth our time as followers of CHRIST.

2 Timothy 1:7
For GOD has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Fear holds back. It takes up our minds and time, holding us back in what we want to do as well as what we should do. There are many things for a person to be concerned about in the world. And as long as we take the time to be consumed by worry and anxiety, we will be confused, frustrated, and unable to move forward. We will stand still, wasting our time and our lives. Fear is not worth our time. Matthew 6:27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
When we trust that JESUS has our lives under control, and choose not to worry, we become unlimited, through CHRIST in what we can do. Nothing GOD asks of us will be impossible if our eyes are on HIM and not glancing nervously behind us at our fears. So we have no bounds in what GOD has for us.
That also answers the questions we asked. What should we put our minds to? Can we do anything we put our minds to? Well, we should put our minds to everything GOD has for us. And in that case, yes, we can do anything we put our minds to.

If you have thoughts or question I'd be glad to talk in the comments.

Thanks for reading and hanging out!
